On the Road Again

We thought it would be a leisurely day... We started out the day with breakfast at 7:30am at the Full Circle Cafe in downtown Fargo. This cafe provides employment and income to support the residence for the mentally ill. Brian Quigley - a member of the Sister Parish committee at Faith Lutheran - gave us an introduction and tour. We were then off for a little bit of shopping at the second hand store in Fargo. Next came the Hjemkomst Heritage Center and the Clay County Museum. The Hjemkomst is a replica of a Viking ship that was built in Minnesota and then sailed to Norway before being placed in the museum here. The Clay County Museum included a dinosaur exhibit and many photos of the flood of 1997. It was a wonderful display of the history of the people of Minnesota. The delegates particularly enjoyed trying on the Viking and skipper hats in the gift shop.

Then back in the van on the road to Minneapolis. We stopped for lunch at Debbie's Homestyle Kitchen in Fergus Falls. We also had a brief stop at McDonalds for ice cream and pies.
We arrived at SJA just in time for the Seder meal. The delegates shared their traditions for Holy Thursday and their reflections on our Hermanamiento. It was a wonderful way to share a meal and our common Catholic traditions and faith.
